To reduce component wear, most centrifugal slurry pumps run at fairly low speeds - typically less than 1200 rpm. Find the optimum position that allows the pump to run as slowly as possible but fast enough to prevent solids from settling out of the slurry deposit and clogging the lines.

The dredge pump is designed to draw sediment, debris and other hazardous materials from the surface layer into the suction pipe and transport the material through the pipe to the discharge site. Australian researchers examined how titanium dioxide as a food additive affected gut microbiota in mice by orally administering it in drinking water. The researchers wrote: “Dietary TiO2 nanoparticles could interfere with the balance of the immune system and dynamic of gut microbiome, which may result in low-grade intestinal inflammation and aggravated immunological response to external stimulus, thus introducing potential health risk.”
